Terms of Service

Retiro Resort Lagos is a boutique leisure and events destination managed under the Optima Leisure portfolio from Adekunle Animashaun Drive, Oniru (Okunde Zone), Lagos, Nigeria. Correspondence may be sent to aweleosadebe@gmail.com.

• You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a legally binding contract to make a booking.
• A booking becomes a confirmed reservation only after full payment is received or a deposit is captured (see section 4).
• All prices are in Nigerian Naira (NGN) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
• Capacity, feature lists and starting prices shown on the site are indicative; the quote generated at checkout is the price that applies to your booking.
• We may refuse or cancel a booking if we reasonably believe it is fraudulent, duplicative, or made for a use that is unlawful or incompatible with the venue.

Availability shown on our calendar is real-time. In the rare event that two bookings land simultaneously for the same slot, the first booking to complete payment or deposit is the one we honour; the other is refunded in full.

• Pay in full — settles the entire amount at checkout via Stripe (and Paystack when enabled).
• Hold with deposit — a 20% deposit (or the percentage shown at checkout) is captured to lock your slot; the balance is due before or on arrival. Three days before your check-in or event date we email a one-click Pay-Balance link.
• Pay on arrival — your booking is held in awaiting confirmation status and must be confirmed by our team.

• Cancellations more than 14 days before the booked date: full refund of amounts paid, less any non-recoverable third-party fees.
• Cancellations between 7 and 14 days: 50% refund.
• Cancellations within 7 days of the booked date: no refund. The deposit, if any, is retained as a cancellation fee.
• Date changes are subject to availability and may incur a price difference.
• We will issue a full refund if we are the cancelling party (for example because of a force-majeure event — see section 10).
• Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 7–14 business days.

You and your party agree to behave in a way that respects other guests, our staff and the property. We may remove any person who behaves abusively, engages in illegal activity, damages the property, or breaches the house rules — without refund. You are responsible for any damage caused by members of your party.

Published performers, set times and running orders are indicative and may change without notice. Event tickets are non-transferable to a different date unless we offer that option explicitly.

When you use our WhatsApp concierge, 3CX Live Chat or enquiry form, you agree that we may read, store and reply to those messages for chat and support purposes. The 3CX Live Chat widget shows a GDPR consent gate before any conversation starts — tapping “I consent” there is required to continue. See our Privacy Policy for retention details.

The Retiro Resort name, logo, photography, wordmarks and site content are owned by Optima Leisure or its licensors. You may not copy, republish or create derivative works from any part of the site without our prior written permission, other than for personal non-commercial browsing.

Neither party is liable for failure to perform under these Terms because of events outside its reasonable control — including government directives, strikes, civil unrest, severe weather, utility failures, pandemics or acts of God. Where such events prevent Retiro from honouring a booking, we will offer a date change or a full refund.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Retiro and Optima Leisure are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from your use of the site or your booking. Our total liability for any booking is capped at the amount you paid for that booking. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Nigerian law — for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

We may update, suspend or replace features of the site at any time to keep it secure and improve the guest experience. Where a change materially affects a booking you have already made, we will contact you directly.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State. We encourage you to contact us at aweleosadebe@gmail.com first so we can try to resolve the issue amicably.
